The last couple of days of July and first days of August demonstrate the transition of life here in El Paso.
Sunday afternoon, we were able to cook on the grill and were happy to observe a beautiful butterfly around the flowers on our patio which was a great way to begin a busy week.
Monday, was a normal work day for me as I was busy trying to get established into my new job. It was nice to come home to my kids playing in the yard-something I missed while I was in Korea.
After work on Tuesday, we visited Denny’s for supper then we prepared the house for the arrival of our moving truck on Wednesday. It is easy after two weeks, to have things begin to spread out and to have a life of its own. So, the night before the truck arrival, we have to clean the entire house and mark where we want different pieces of furniture to be placed.
All day Wednesday was spent watching the crew unload the truck. It took most of the day until the evening. It was a beautiful day to unpack and not entirely too hot outside.
Yesterday, the family was engaged in unpacking. The kids did much better than the parents. Will work all day focused on his room to get it set up just the way he liked it. His motivation was to spend the day today playing in that room. He was very disciplined and did a great job. It is good to start seeing normal emerge from the chaos of moving.
