Since I have not blogged since the end of August, I feel a little rusty as I begin again for this new year. Returning home from Korea and completing a move of my family from Kansas to Texas was exhausting—much more than I thought, so I decided it was time to take a little break. I am excited, however, to start the new year with more energy and, hopefully, a little more focus.
During my time away, our family has had a wonderful time getting back together and enjoying the time we have together. In September, we were able to visit Disneyland in California. We love Disneyland. Many people are amazed by our love for Disneyland over Walt Disney World, however, we love it for its size and its local feel. We had a wonderful time jumping between Disneyland and California Adventure enjoying the sites and the food.
We celebrated Halloween in October, where we estimate that we had about a thousand kids to visit and we gave out ten pounds of candy. It is a great opportunity to welcome people to our porch, even if it is for a brief moment.
And, most recently, we were able to celebrate Christmas together this year. With my absence last year, we enjoyed the time we were able to spend and the time off to rest.
I look forward to spending more time with you in this new year. I may be writing a little less frequently, but I look forward to sharing some of my adventures and devotional thoughts with you! Thank you all for reading!
