As I began my weekend, I started with a very encouraging .91 kill/death ratio. Then it quickly fell from there.
Then next match was .23, then back up to .67. The next day began with .50, then .22 and .25, up to .56…and down to .08 with 13 deaths to my one kill. It was a long day.
What I learned from the experience is that fatigue has much to do with how I perform. During the week, I was averaging a 1.0 K/D ratio against “Regular” bots. Not just one to one, but 13 against one. I was pretty confident. Maybe too confident, but even playing on Saturday, I remained confident because what was slowing me down was my reaction time. I simply did not have the energy to move fast.
It was a busy week and a busy weekend. I probably should have just worked on bot practice so I would not continue to kill my overall progress, but it was a Double XP weekend–I wanted to move up at least a little. Playing during a Double XP weekend allows me to move up faster than I would on a normal day. Granted everyone else is moving up fast too, but moving up opens more opportunities to succeed. So, I hung in there and ranked up two levels over the weekend–even as bad as it was.
