In America there is a crisis , in many families, of families not eating together.
Here that isn’t a problem. While we aren’t with our families, we are here with are friends–and we all eat chow.
Chowtime is the social event of the day. Breakfast, not so much–normally, I just want to sit down and eat at breakfast. But, lunchtime and dinner, this is where it all happens. On the tv show M*A*S*H, I don’t think they gave enough credit to the chow hall–this is truly the place where the action happens. Yes, we all work together and see each other throughout the day, but we don’t have time to sit and talk about stuff that doesn’t really matter.Â
So, everyday–at least twice a day, the Soldiers all get together to eat chow and to spend some time talking about what really doesn’t matter.
