Our interesting and wonderful day began looking over the Disney California Adventure Park, which we can see from our hotel window. Looking out to a partly cloudy sky, I expected it to be cool outside. After walking outside, I began to shed my sweatshirt. That was until the rain began a couple of hours later.
We went through the gate and set up our Photo Pass when the Red Car Trolley came and we all jumped on. The trolley took us to a stop where we saw Doc McStuffins signing autographs—we stopped for Jenny to get a photo and a visit. Behind us, I noticed the darkening skies and checked Radarscope to see a rainstorm on its way. We were able to duck into Disney Jr. for most of the rain. When we walked out of the show, the rain was slowing but there was enough us to get somewhat damp. The temperature also dropped.
We walked to Disneyland to enjoy several attractions as the rain stopped and as we exited “It’s a Small World”, we saw blue skies. The day became beautiful and warm. We enjoyed seeing fairies, characters, and superheroes followed by a parade.
Afterwards, I took three of the kids to the Tiki Room, while Monica and Mary Catherine rode Space Mountain. We then enjoyed a pasta dinner on Main Street. As the sun began to set, the cool air of night returned. It was a beautiful night and a nice end to the day.
