The other day I was in a group of people who was asked: If you could do anything in the world what would it be–what would your dream be. One said that he would be a famous basketball player, one said that he would ski the highest mountain, and I said that I would like to be the CEO of DC Comics.
It is a dream. Is it attainable for me? No. Do I have other dreams? Yes. But, it would be really cool. I would be terrible at it, but it’d be cool before I got fired.
I’d like to see DC Comics pushed forward in the market. I’d like to see the Movies from DC mean something–why is it that DC is owned by Warner Brothers–but can not seem to get a handle on the Movie market? I’d like to see more DC Comic Book for sale in book stores and Target stores. I’d like to see more toys in the stores. There is no reason that I can see that DC is not doing what Marvel is doing and more.
If I were the CEO of DC Comics–I would like DC Comics to become the powerhouse of comic book culture. The characters are too good not to use them–the stories are to good not to promote them, and the dream that they can provide can bring excitement to the next generation.

Hi Chaplain Andrews,
Your blog reminds me about a time when
as a child–which was many years ago-a neighbor boy gave me a huge box of all kinds of comics. It was the beginning of summer vacation and unusually warm for New England. The stories about superman, supergirl, spiderman even those classic comic stories transported me to an escape of imagination.
You never know about dreams–sometimes they come true. Best of luck.
Nice blog
