This week I am sharing some stories from my little story diary from the end of November and the beginning of December 2016. This was a time of colder weather, coffee shops, and a winter’s nap.
He Spoke English 25NOV16
I walked in to the “Café Beginning” coffee shop and was greeted by a hello—I began to order when it hit me that he knew English. I said—”do you speak English?—he smiled and said “yes.” So, I ordered my drink—it was nice to be able to order in my own language. My day changed from that moment.
First Snow 26NOV16
As I played video games inside, I looked out the window to see snow flurries dancing in the wind. A little later these flurries were accompanied by many more. Soon parts of the ground became dusted by white. It did not snow much but snow it did.
Afternoon Nap 27NOV16
After church, I came home to finish watching the Clemson-Carolina game. As the game was over, I sat in my chair not wanting to move, nor do anything else. I took this time to enjoy a good restful nap. I don’t take naps often, but this afternoon was nice.
Hakrim Coffeehouse 2DEC16
We visited a wonderful coffeehouse in Seoul. The shop first opened in 1956 and has been a popular and historic place ever since. The atmosphere was delightful with a loft seating area and classical music playing in the background. Coffee served with real–not paper cups. Classic Coffeehouse.
