After a long day on Sunday, I didn’t have enough time to get on a train and go to a coffee shop, so I walked out the back gate to find a delightfully little ice cream shop that also sold coffees.
The Natuur Pop Ice Cream and Desert café caught my attention because of the inviting décor as it sits back from the road and seams very clean and fresh. Natuur Pop specializes in ice cream. But I was in the market for coffee so still going in, I tried some of theirs.
The counter is a standard ice cream counter where you can pick your ice cream so the server can draw it out of the big ice cream tubs. On the menu in the center was the emphasis on coffee. I was happy to see that their coffee was about half the price of other coffee shops, so this was a nice find for me.
The sitting area in side was small but well decorated with trees, wall decorations, and pillows for the benches.
I tried my favorite drink, the Café Mocha, and was pleased with the taste. It did not have the mountain of whipped cream on top, but for two dollars less, it was plenty enjoyable.
I sat outside, since it was a warmer than usual day. The outside has several tables and allows for people watching as people going and out of the adjacent stores. It was also a nice place to read. I definitely plan to return for the ice cream and maybe will even bring some friends as well!
