For those who have been reading chaplainandrews.com for awhile, you will have seen that one of my interests is in the weather. As I do not consider it a hobby, I am very fascinated to understand what going on in our atmosphere. That being said, I recently subscribed to AccuWeather.com Premium.
One of the listed benefits of the AccuWeather.com Premium subscription is that there are no advertisements. Cleaning out the clutter of the advertisements helps me enjoy what I came to the website for anyway—the weather. The removal of advertisements also lends the webmaster flexibility in organizing the website in the most useful manner possible. But the removal of advertisements is simply a minor piece of the beneficial service.
Another benefit that I enjoy is the enhanced radar capabilities. With these enhance radar capabilities, I can physically zoom in on any location in the country and observe the storm process the weather pattern that is an area. Recently, when storms came across the southern United States, I was able to observe the radar for where I live now, but I was also able to observe other areas as the storm and across the country. With each city the storm would pass, I could zero in on whatever severe situations where on the ground. Through observing the radar, I could see the intensity of the velocity and rains from the radar of. And I was also afforded the opportunity to be able to see the specific tornado activity in that area.
Another benefit from the premium subscription is the 15 day forecast as well as detailed hourly forecast for that period of time. Again, I could find that for any part of the country. Simply being allowed to see a detailed forecast for that duration of time is a definite benefit of the subscription. I can also see technical models for which these forecasts are drawn.
A third benefit that I am truly beginning to enjoy is the detailed weather video discussions from the AccuWeather.com staff. While observing 15 day forecasts and I can watch these videos to understand the thought processes the meteorologists are using to build their forecast opinions. And with their discussion, they are teaching me how to use the more technical pieces of information available through the AccuWeather.com Premium site.
I’m very pleased with my subscription to AccuWeather.com Premium and would definitely recommend it to anyone interested in watching the weather.
