As I close the final week of 2016, it is nice to take a moment to reflect on the week itself. Sunday was Christmas Day, which is followed by a day off, some half days, and another day off (today). Today, was actually the only day that went as planned, but looking back I did have some good times.
Monday afternoon, I was able to open my Final Fantasy XV game that I received from Monica for Christmas. I had some work to doin the morning, but once I made it home, I was able to fully enjoy a couple of hours of the story.
I set an appointment for my Periodic Health Assessment (PHA) on Tuesday morning, so I could get it done before they told me at the last minute that I had to do it. So after labs on Tuesday and the doctor’s visit on Thursday, the doctor said that I’m in good health—which is always good to hear!
I had Kimbap and Kimchi for lunch on Wednesday after missing lunch. I got busy on some last minute projects followed by a briefingthat I had to give, so this lunch was a very welcome sight!
As I walked from my office to the doctor Thursday afternoon, I saw that a CH47 Chinook had landed on the helipad to drop off some personnel. I always love to see this huge helicopters come and go. And, I always think of my Daddy. He was so proud of being a pilot of Chinooks in Vietnam and Korea, and I have always associated them with him—it is a nice reminder from time to time.
Friday, has been a day off! I spent most of the day playing Overwatch—another video game (this one given to me by my Mother-in-law). This morning, knowing I would be playing all day, I put beans into the crock pot for supper. This is the first time I tried it and I think they turned out very good!
So, that has been my week! It has been a good one, even though it was busier than I had planned—but that only made it go faster which makes it one more week down before I go home to my family.
