I enjoy my morning coffee. At home, most of the time, I will have a cup of Yorkshire Tea to get my day started. However, I also enjoy a boost from coffee now and then. When I have neither, then I find whichever is most available.
While I wait for my household goods to arrive, I have neither a coffee maker, nor a hot water pot. Both of those are in a box somewhere on its way. I do have a microwave. Yes, I could make tea and that is an option. I saw a box of PG Tips tea in a neighboring U.S. Base, that I will have to purchase when the time comes. But, there is something inherently wrong with drinking tea from water from a microwave. I also lack a major piece of the puzzle, a cup. I planned to take a mug that I bought at the zoo, but forgot to pack it at the last minute. It probably would not have survived anyway in my stuffed luggage.
As I considered my options, I walked through the commissary to find a package of Nescafe instant coffee along with a cup. I needed the cup. I liked the cup. I was unsure of the instant coffee. Even if I threw out the coffee, the package was seven dollars. So I picked it up and brought it home.
The next morning, I woke up to an empty cup and a bottle of Nescafe. I learned once to add all of the ingredients into the cup before adding the water. Two spoonfuls of sugar, one of cream, and one of Nescafe. I added them all to the microwaved water and it tasted delicious. It is a different taste, but it is one that I had become accustom to by drinking Nescafe Cappuccino’s in the DFAC because the coffee was so bad. So, I discovered Nescafe instant coffee. Now, I have a couple of cups in the morning in my Nescafe Mug and it is my morning treat.

Coffee is my big addiction (if I could get it an IV bag, I’d probably take it).
