I do not mind the city, but I prefer the country-side. If I had my way, I would live in a rural section of town with access to a Target and restaurants. More and more, I can buy things online. So the country sounds kind of nice. When I see a snowy photo of a large building in the city, I begin to wonder what it would be to live there.
I believe that urban living is on its way back, so it is conceivable that I may one day live in a city. If I were to live anywhere, I would love to have a place in that home to write. I would love to pause for a moment and write. I enjoy being focused by myself on a project. One of my favorite things to do is to find a secluded place and work, as long as there is a window.
There is something powerful about rising early in the morning and expressing myself on paper. I love to write with a pen, but more and more I am communicating digitally. Life will crowd free writing out if you will let it. And too many times, I do. So, if I would live anywhere I wished it would have a place to go and write. I look back with fondness on the times that I have been able to do just that.
Looking at a large building in a city always draws me to the windows. And by those windows is a man at his desk writing as the snow falls softly outside.
