I learn something new everyday. This time it’s about comic bags.
Rick’s Comic City was sold out of Silver Age bags, last Thursday. (Their shipment was due on Friday.) I learned then that all comic bags are not the same. The bags for newer books are smaller than the others and hold the books tighter. This size is called “current.” The “Golden ” size is the largest because the “Golden Age” books are bigger. I like the Silver Size because they are more middle of the road in size. I don’t have too much problem with the book size, but I do with backing boards. All of my boards are for silver size, so they don’t fit into the current bags.
The bottom line: You can put current boards into silver bags, but you can’t put silver boards into current bags. I found that true, but never understood why. (I thought each company made their own size.) I like to learn a new thing once and a while.
