As I was playing Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 on Saturday, I was able to hit a personal best of a 1.11 EKIA/D ratio of 10 kills to 9 of my deaths. This was a big deal to me, but now the goal is to sustain a ratio of 1 EKIA/D.
Today’s practice, however, did not go as well. I was back to my normal .50 ratio.
I learned though that for my warm up—I need to use regular bots instead of recruit bots. Going after recruit bots does feel good (I ended the warm up with a 2.1 ratio) but does nothing to warm me up for the real online multiplayer experience. What I learned was that while I was feeling good and having fun with the recruit bots, I was not under enough pressure to be able to function when I went to a live match.
As Monday will finish off the 2XP weekend, will return to training during the weekdays. I am attempting to play at least 30 minutes a day, and did this every day except one last week. I play against 6 bots. The goal is to get comfortable with 6 bots at regular during the week and work myself up to the Hardened and Veteran level, so I am ready to get a solid 1.0 ratio nearly every game.
It is a work in progress.
