I didn’t intend to write about typos in this post, but it is kind of hard to miss. I went to title this post and found a major typographical error. Here you see the headline for the lead article about “Electrostatic Discharge”–you know “The Discharge of Static Electricity” when you touch somebody after rubbing your socks on the carpet.
What you see is a lead title that tells you to read about Electostatic Discharge. Just for verification I turned to Dictionary.com to look up the word”Electostatic”–I found “Did you mean electrostatic (in dictionary) or Electrostatic (in encyclopedia)?” So, there you go–a typo.
In good Army tradition, I want to ask–who fault was it? It certainly wasn’t Joe Kubert’s fault–the artist is not very often the letterer. The only other name given that could possibly be responsible for this alleged typo is General George W. Casey, the United States Army Chief of Staff.Â
Let the congressional hearings begin.
