At the end of the first day of the new year, I like to write a post to start the new year off. So, I’d like to simply tell you about my day.
I woke up about 6:30AM. I slept in a little bit because of staying up late last night. The kids wanted to stay up until midnight, so not to be the elderly downer, I hung in there with them. (I may not do that again next year!)
After having some coffee and reading my Bible, I went out for a run. I only did six miles this morning, because the holidays have made me soft. By the end of January, I will be doing about ten or twelve miles to get me ready for the next two half-marathons. I had a good run. It was good to get out with some distance to clear my mind and shake out some stiffness in my legs.
On my arrival home, I had a quick shower and breakfast. Then, I was ready to play some Call of Duty. I only played for 30 minutes because the internet went out leaving me with a black screen. After a short time of reading, it was time for lunch. It was good to have all of my meals with Monica and the kids. I miss this when I am at work.
I played some more Call of Duty after lunch and then spent some time reading Comic Books until it was time for supper.
It was a pretty good day to start the new year. It doesn’t sound like much, but it was a great day to cemetery myself on this year’s priorities as I prepared myself to go to back to work tomorrow.
