"We live in a world where, more often than not, more is better….At some point, however, we run into limits." —Leo Babauta "The Power of Less"
We are constantly under pressure to do more and more–but at some time, we are going to max out. It is critical that we max out on what is important.
I was reminded recently that all of the great minds, of all times, had one thing in common–they all had 24 hours in a day. One difference between them and ourselves is that they focused on the essential task that brought them to greatness.
The key for us is to focus our attention on the essentials of life. This is balance. Yes, we want to have successful careers and yes we want to make sure that we have what it takes to move "the ball" forward; but, we also must be mindful of our spouses and our families.
So focus your attention on the essentials of life–you’ll be glad you did!
