This has been a cold week. By the end of the week, we had snow on the ground, although it did not last long.
On Monday night, I was able to go to supper with a friend of mine. We stopped in to the KATUSA Snack Bar because it was late and the KSB is close by. Every meal comes with access to the side dishes of kimchi and bean spouts. I never thought I’d eat kimchi, but it has become a routine food in my diet.
The National College Football Championship was Tuesday morning. We were all at work, but I was able to catch bits and pieces of the game on the office TV. Luckily, I could watch the last two minutes of the game in my room, after a quick detour between meetings. Go Tigers!
Wednesday, I stopped in to water my plants. I don’t have clue what I am growing. But, they are growing. They are Korean seeds, so I could not read the package. These plants are fun to take care of while I am here.
Following a Thursday meeting, I walked out in the windy cold afternoon. I looked up at beautiful blue sky, with the flags wide open in the wind. It was nice to be able to enjoy the moment even at about 30 degrees, with chill in the 20s.
Celebrating a four day weekend, I woke up to snow showers outside my window. The temperature was in the teens and for about an hour the snowfall began to covered the ground. By noon, the sun was out and the snow was mostly gone. It was nice while it lasted, but I am still waiting on a big storm to completely cover the ground.
