The week began with a sunrise run to the river. One of the things I like the most about Korea is the beautiful walk ways along the rivers. These trails go for miles. It is a great place to run in the morning!
On Monday, we had a visit from our higher headquarters. We had lunch together at one of our favorite Budae Jjigae or “Army Stew” restaurants. As always, it was delicious. Interesting, however, they gave us an upscale meal because of the number of people eating from our stew. It put this store over the top. We have determined that this is the best Budae Jjigae in Korea. Uijeongbu is known for its Budae Jjigae, and this is the best Budae Jjigae in Uijeongbu. Therefore, it is the best in Korea.
Tuesday was another long day. I returned to work after supper and caught a glimpse of the sunset before spending several more hours at work. This was actually the earliest night of work the entire week.
On Wednesday, I came home to have a cup of hot chocolate before falling asleep after 11pm.
Thursday, I followed through on a planned design for my prayer lists. I had planned to try this out for a while, but I finally got tired of shuffling the little pieces of paper. I put them into an old-school checklist book. I am very happy with the result.
The week was a busy one. But, hopefully now, we can get back to normal after a couple of high tempo weeks.
