I was at a meeting a couple of weeks ago, where I was asked; “What is on your lifetime bucket list?” After being in school all day, I really didn’t feel like thinking through my bucket list—I knew I had an extensive one although my mind drew a blank. However, like a complete nerd, I pulled up my lifetime bucket list on my iPhone AnyList App. I keep the list on there to look at it from time to time and remind me of my dreams.
I also took a test recently that described my learning style as “Divergent”—that told me that I like to gather information and have broad interests (westernu.edu). This leads me to have a many different broad goals which is sometime why this blog covers a lot of different topics and ideas. It makes it fun for me, but sometimes—I know must be confusing to the reader.
When you give a divergent person a tool like AnyList—I constantly come up with ideas. Some that make sense, some are a very long stretch, and some actually may work! Therefore, I am going to start a Saturday series over the next several weeks to describe the 15 or so items on my bucket list. Along the way, as I focus on this topic, I may add more items to my list.
I hope you enjoy my list as I work through it—maybe it will encourage you to start your own. Maybe it will help me to hurry up and start working on that list. I cannot wait to get started.
