This morning during my prayer time, I was thinking about the packing that is going on in the Battalion. What are you bringing to the Desert? I know there are Playstations, X-Boxes, Books, and DVDs going down range–but what spiritual stuff are you bringing?
Are you bringing a devotional to follow along during the 15 months of separation from your family? I will have copies of the classic devotional book “My Utmost for His Highest” available down range if you need one. Are you taking your Bible–to read and remain in the scriptures during your time? I will also have Bibles available if you need one. What about a notebook to record your journey?
Then, what about your habits? Are you taking with you a habit of Bible Reading and Prayer with you. Are you taking a plan to start a habit of Bible reading and prayer? Think about it. These aren’t on a packing list, but they are truly mission essential.

Thank you for the edits! I guess they slipped by. And, I actually checked that XBOXs is used occasionally on the internet, but the most accepted form is XBOXES. Thanks for the input and for reading!

CH,
I have hence read your blog, and have duly noted your english discrepancies. I have listed in the order they appear.
1. XBOXs or XBOXES?
2. The following sentence does not have subject verb agreement, “I will also have Bible available if you need one.”. (I believe a simple article would correct this statement)
Yet, for my personal devotional time, I decided to list for you some of my own habits. Feel free to offer some of your criticism. (1) I love to exegete comic books. (2) Daily, blogging before and after my ritualistic Physical Training. (3) Honoring my wife, by sending her to nearby cities for shopping extravaganzas.
Smile,
Joe
