More and more I am enjoying writing letters to pen pals around the world.
Sometimes, however, it gets to be a struggle to find time to get some writing done. Some times it helps me to go away from home and force myself to write and get a letter out. I must careful also to actually put the letter in the mail. Sometimes I will write a letter and bring it home and get busy again and forget to mail it-especially if I didn’t address and stamp the envelope before I left my spot.
Tonight is one of those nights that I am trying to get my letters out. I planned to get more letters out; but right now all I’ve done is address an envelope from about a week ago. That’s ok—at least I will get it in the mail.
Many times, I say “tonight, I am going to write letters.” The end result is zero letters written. What is needed is a goal. For instance, when I say; “tonight I am going to write two letters”. This moves me closer to the goal of writing something.
It takes me a minute to get in the mood to write-even though I really want to. I have to let the day wear off me before I get to work. Sometimes, that takes longer than others.
Now, it’s time to get another letter out.
