A couple of weeks ago, I was able to visit the McDonald’s at 5440 Dyer Street in El Paso, Texas. There are two McDonald’s Restaurants on Dyer Street–this one is the on the southern end near the Walmart.
It’s architecture is from the “Mansard Roof” design–with light brown aluminum roofing, but retaining the curb roof design. The restaurant includes a covered playground. The cover is a tightly pulled tarp; which is a common covering around El Paso.
Inside the recently renovated McDonald’s you will find a clean and modern look. Bringing in the modern designs, the “linger zone” that are being placed in many new designs is along the far wall–which is a simple wall length couch with tables. Also included is a small “grab and go” section with tall tables. The main focal point of the restaurant is the center section of flexible seating with booths and standard tables. I was very impressed how this McDonald’s blended the old with the new.
This busy McDonald’s is one of my favorites in the area. I have always enjoyed fast service and fresh food. The WI-FI is also easy to get on and runs a a good speed. Maybe I can stop in to write some future blog posts!
