Moving to Virginia from El Paso has provided me a new place to write and to work on my hobbies.
When we were living in El Paso, we actually lived on Fort Bliss in a 1914 era bungalow. The house was a very small four bedroom, with most of the floor space fill with those four rooms. The rest of the house was kitchen, eating space, and the living room. There was no space for me to put a desk.
Here, we have a large basement that houses our living room which also includes space for my desk. On the main floor is a space a little larger than the size of our house at Fort Bliss. So, we have room for a reading area as well.
I was able to place my desk table in the basement for my writing space. We stored the table in the last house; therefore it is good to put it to use this time. I must be disciplined, here, to not allow the table to gather clutter because I find this happens with every desk. My goal is to have a clean desk that is ready to write whenever I am ready. I also have a place to do computer work whoever I am ready as well. This will be a great place to make writing a priority again.
