Some thing I see here, you would never see in the States. So why do we see it here???
This morning I was running, working off last nights 1000 calorie burger, when I saw a water truck just drive across the desert.
Why do they do that?
We have roads. Paved roads.
This is the problem. When someone drives across the desert, it chops up the dirt. This chopped up dirt becomes dust which blows into my lungs!!! And everybody else’s.
The mayor’s cell is putting down gravel parking lots and building fence to keep the dust down and the people off the dirt that is not rocked.
It is a crazy thing, actually. And I am amazed. I don’t think I would ever think about just driving across the dessert, because I want to cut a corner.
Why are they in that big of a hurry anyway?
So that’s my venting for the day.
Do you see crazy driving where you are?

I love the Freudian slip of “dessert” – we know where your mind is…Freedom Cake.

What I see is not off-road, but on the road, and LEGAL! The motorcyclists here are insane. They drive between cars to get to the front of the line at any intersection. They speed. And they drive between cars on the highway! It is normal for the car drivers to pull to the sides of their lanes to give the motorcycles room to pass between them at intersections. If you don’t do this, some motorcyclists will purposely scratch your car and run into your mirrors. I find it scary and annoying. The good news is that car drivers tend to be very aware of the morotcycles so there are not too many accidents.
