I was reminded by Becoming Me of the seriousness of having a focus, or mission to my blog.
Sometimes, it easy for me to just sit down and ramble on about life in Iraq without focussing on the point that I am here.
I use a slogan “Access Everything From Sermons, to Briefings, to Daily News, and Comic Books.” This describes the basis for everything I do here.
My mission here is to communicate the gospel through building relationships and through writing.  I believe this blog is a place to communicate with families to help them understand what life is like for us and to minister to them through providing them everything I can give them.
chaplainandrews.com is a place for me to put everything out there, within OPSEC considerations, for people to get there hands on. That is why I have added my wife’s blog dailydwelling.com to a featured place on my site so others can access her ideas as well. We are truly a team.
I continue to grow as a writer and blogger and seek everyday to bring more and more to the table through my daily posts about life in Iraq. I hope these will help us all be a little more understanding of what we are doing here. Not just “killing bad guys” but living our lives as normal as normal is out here.
What would you like to see more of on this site? How can I make it better to achieve this purpose? I look forward to hearing from you!!

Chaplain Andrews,
I stopped by from the blog mission tour from Becoming Me. I also want to thank you for your service to our country.
I enjoyed my visit here. I think it’s so easy for us to get lost in our comfy lives here in the states and forget about all that goes on around us in the world. You have reminded me of my responsibility to pray for those who dedicate their lives to our freedom.
God bless!

Chaplain Andrews,
I just wanted you to know you and your family are in my prayers. My husband’s unit plans to deploy next year and it sometimes weighs heavy on my heart. I know his life is in the hands of our Mighty God so I don’t worry…I just know how badly I will miss him. I’m sure you are missing your family as well. God bless you as you serve.
