It may not seem to be that big of a deal to rearrange furniture. But, sometimes it makes all the difference in the world.
My old desk was passed on to me by the chaplain who was here before me. They constructed it from scratch and did a very good job–it just wasn’t working for me.
I needed it to be facing out, so I could see what was going on, and so I didn’t feel like I was in a hole. But, I was extremely cramped. It was ok, until I needed to geta sermon done–I felt claustrophobic!!

So, I went down the hall and traded…up! I was able to get two tables to become my desk. I’m now able to spread out a little more. I have more of a writing area now, instead of the bunker I had before.
It’s nice to have a good place to write. Thanks for the trade.

Hello! I just discovered Google Reader myself through an online continuing ed. course I’m working on. I have really enjoyed using it. I need to add more blogs to my reader.

Hi Chaplain,
It was a delight to discover your blog through the Blog Mission Statement tour. I want you to know I admire and appreciate you for what you’re doing…what a wonderful purpose you’re serving! My brother is a Gulf War marine veteran and former cop who recently spent a couple of years helping train Iraqi cops, so I have a real heart for our troops.
May God bless you richly!
