Earlier this week, we were standing for an hour to see “Fantasmic!” at Disneyland. We watched as hundreds of people also found their seat, it could’ve been thousands of people for all I know. There were people everywhere, they were moving to get their seat so they could see the show on the waters edge.
During this wait, Monica mentioned to me something that I was already thinking and feeling; “There are a lot of people in the world!”
We forget that there are other people in the world…billions of people. While we watched the people, there was another significant amount of people at other events in the park; some riding rides, some eating dinner, and some watching the Cinderella special screening! There are a lot of people in the world. There were a lot of people in front of us.
It is amazing to me that each person has their own eyes, their own opinions, their own perspective, and their own story. Christ died for each one and loves each one.
Have you ever sat down and watched people? Not in a creepy stalking way, but have you watched them enough to get a sense of their story—or at least enough information to possibly make up your own? Have you gone a step further in listening to those around you? Have you met some of the masses of people? Many are hurting. Many are lost without knowing of a Savior to rescue them from hell.
Or do are you simply satisfied with the blur of people that pass you by?
