My choice fitness activity is running. I love to run—I feel better about it when I am in better shape but of all the activities that I can do, I truly enjoy running. I have been running more and more seriously since my second deployment to Iraq. But, even for years off and on before that I would run. The shoe I have always used has been the Nike Air Pegasus.
When I was in Army ROTC at Lander College in 1990, I began to run on a regular basis. That is when I bought my first Air Pegasus running shoe. I liked it about bought another pair when my first ones wore out and on and on. It wasn’t until around 2011 or so that I realized why I liked these shoes so much.
I had read in Runner’s World about the “Wet Test” and found that I am a “Normal (medium) Arch” that “may prefer neutral-cushioned shoes without any added support”. I found that that is exactly what the Air Pegasus is. For the most part I always buy the Air Pegasus—if for some reason, deviate, go with Nike’s other Neutral Shoe the Nike Air Vomero, which is a good match but not as good as the faithful Pegasus.
Over the weekend, I bought a new pair on Nike Air Pegasus 30. They were on sale at the Nike Outlet to clear the way for the Air Zoom Pegasus 31, so I got a great deal. Now as Spring running season gets busier, I’ve got a great shoe to run on and a great Pick of the Week to share with you.
