One of the tools that I like to use on this blog is a tool called PicMonkey. PicMonkey is a place where you simply can upload a photo edit and add text and then save. This is how I add a scripture verse or quote to some of my photos for my devotional or thoughtful posts.
Not only will PicMonkey add text to the photo, it is a full-fledged photo editor online and always at your fingertips. It can edit photos through Basic Edits, Effects, Touch Ups, Text, Overlays, Frames, Textures, and Themes. In the basic edit mode it can crop, rotate, rise, and adjust the exposure, as well as several more routine editing tasks.
A cool feature that PicMonkey can provide is a way to do quick collages. Once you upload photos into the gallery, you can then choose a layout for you collage and then quickly and easily add photos into you collage. This comes in handy when I may want to show several shots but showing every photo one at a time would get old. You could also make it interesting by adding text through the editor frames, save them to your desktop, and then upload those saved photos into the collage.
PicMonkey is a nice quick tool to use when you want a quick edit to a photo or want to add a little quote inside the frame to send a specially tailored message to your audience. It is an excellent tool which is why it is this week’s pick of the week.
