At the beginning of the summer, Monica bought me a popcorn popper for my birthday. It is a wonderful popcorn popper that sits on the counter and we have used it almost weekly–at first, we were popping up our almost daily. When I received that popcorn popper, it put me on a quest to make the perfect popcorn in my home.
I like popcorn straight from the movie theater. Another place to find good popcorn is Target. Sometimes I’ll go to Target just to get their popcorn and drink deal. So, in my quest to find the best popcorn–I discovered that one of the things that makes good popcorn is the salt to put on top of it. The popcorn salt I have found that many of these good popcorn places use is Act II Popcorn Salt which you can buy online at Amazon.com. Being that it is made for movie theaters and large bulk popcorn makers–it is a very large package. Somewhere on the Internet, I found that the best way to deal with such a large package is to put a small amount in a normal saltshaker. It works great! It gives me complete control over how much salt to put on each container I serve.
Tonight, I made the comment that this little idea about the salt shaker was one of the best ideas I have found on the internet.
What do you use for your Popcorn Seasoning?

I’ve never gone there –with these cheese or taco seasoning! Sound like fun =)

Try taco seasoning instead of salt…. or cheese powder or even the parmesan cheese in the can is good too! My son loves it with parmesan.
If watching your fats you can spray the popped corn with Pam and toss with the taco seasoning. I did this a lot while on WW.
