The September 2015 Previews Magazines lists some amazing title to look forward to in November. Here are three comic book picks that I am going to look forward to the most.
The first book I am looking forward to going on sale in November is from Dynamite Comics. Inside the front cover of this month’s Previews was a fold out advertisement for Ian Fleming’s James Bond. I am looking forward to subscribing to this title and enjoying the first James Bond comic book in 20 years. I am sensing a shift in the comic book world toward spy type storylines. I have specifically enjoyed this switch as Dick Grayson has left the world of “Darkwing” behind and has been operating as a spy type character for the last year. It is a formula that I believe works for comic books, so it will be interesting to see how the master spy is portrayed in this series.
Lara Croft and the Frozen Omen is another book that I am excited about. Published by Dark Horse Comics, the series actually begins in October—so I’ll need to pay attention. Much like the action and adventures of James Bond, I am looking forward to seeing the world of Lara Croft unfold as she experiences the adventure of collecting ancient artifacts.
Out in November is Action Comics #46 from DC Comics. The storyline described in Previews lead me to believe that the writers will focus on Superman’s hidden weakness and that is his character. A villain is tempting Clark Kent toward corruption. I am looking forward to seeing how the writers deal with this as they seek to maintain his identity.
There are many stories schedule to be published in the coming months that look amazing, but these are my top picks out of the September 2015 issue of Previews.
