Ok, I see it now–there is a Good Supergirl and a Bad Supergirl. That makes sense. Lex’s ray gun gave Supergirl a true split-personality, which then became two separate people.
I think we all have a good side and a bad side that we try to hide. I know I do. I think this is why this story is so enjoyable, because it speaks to the humanness in all of us. We are all capable of doing very evil things, but most of us control it.
The question remains, however, what would your evil side be like if it were released into the world. Would it seek to destroy everything? What would it attack? For Supergirl it was the JLA and Lex Luther. Yeah this sounds like I’m sliding into my preacher voice, but I think that it is a good exercise to determine what do we truly consider our enemies. Then, take that idea and determine how we are going to overcome this issue in our lives and make the enemies our friends.
I think that this arc has been masterfully written and, believe it or not thought provoking.
