Superman 658 once again addresses indirectly the question: “how much does it costs for Superman NOT to killâ€. In this case, it was the death of everybody he loved including himself.
There is blood in the air, at DC. They noticed how dramatic Wonder Woman’s homicidal act affected readership and buzz surrounding the DC Universe. I sense that there is building anticipation for Superman to commit a similar act.
This act would truly be a shame. I don’t have a problem with making Superman fallible—he is. However, Superman is cherished by his character, and in today’s society this is refreshing. We must have heroes who stay true to their values. This would be another action to bring down value systems in
America.
I also believe that it is lazy writing. If the writers cannot be creative within some parameters they need to start over. It is not believable for Superman to act against his personal values.
There is blood in the air at DC, they would do better to return to good writing rather than creating empty drama.

I agree with you 100 %. Superman killing, along with Captain America compromising his beliefs because they’re not popular, are two sad signs of the decay of values in comics.
