As my blogroll lengthens, I am more and more dependant on my newsreader. Every-morning, even before I check my email, I look open AWASU and download the blogs. During the day, I come across a new blog that really interests me, so I want to subscribe…but no RSS! This is so disappointing, because I am not going to go back and look at that site. I just won’t. I can put them in favorites, I can do whatever–but no…after several days I’ll forget and abandon. But there are those that I read daily–those that have RSS. I may not read everything…who does that any way?, but I check it. Everyday! So why can’t other people who want their stuff to be read use it? Most don’t because they don’t know how important it is, or (in some cases) what it is. It is only important if you want people to actually read what you write. Otherwise, you just post to fill up bandwidth.
