This may be over thinking the little things of life too much, but the question I often have is “What should I eat when I read comic books?” This actually can be a big question. I do not want oils on my books or anything that may damage the books. So, what do I eat?
I like to spend some time reading comic book, I like to sit in a corner, with a cup of coffee, or tea. I typically prefer not to drink my Diet Coke in a glass when I read, because the condensation from the glass could carry over to the books. Therefore, I sometimes have one in a can. Popcorn unfortunately is out, because of the oils. M&Ms are good because they melt in your mouth and not in your hand. In the air conditioned house, the M&M hold to their hard shell and do not mess up my fingers. Most cookies are perfect as well! I am always on the lookout for treats that have no mess. This is a big deal to me. I never want to do something to hurt my collection. Is this collection in the greatest condition? Not all of it, but I am now reading newer books, so I want to take care of those. The older ones, I take care of as well, because, in many ways, it comes down to taking care of the collection and the collection is being built. I want to make sure that I have a clean collection for years to come.
