Â
Yesterday, when I returned home after my visit to Free Comic Book Day, I browsed through my collection. With 42 comic books, it is hard to make a decision about what I would like and what I wouldn’t. Therefore, I took them all. They were free anyway.
Interestingly enough, I picked up this little book near the end of my browsing and it is the one comic book that I am most excited about.Â
I keep a journal. At times of my life, I keep it daily–as I did in Iraq. I don’t do so well here in the states. Sometimes, I begin to feel as if the only difference between here and Iraq is that here I go throught the “groundhog day” with my family and clean. Joking aside, I have gotten bored with the same stuff to write about everyday. This activity book gives me inspiration to get back into journaling and go back to my creative jurnals as I have in the past.
I am looking forward to working through the writing topics. I am excited to read this comic book, because I would’ve never picked it up if I had just seen it on the shelf. By collecting all 42 of the books, I took home a gem that will, hopefully, revitalize my journaling.
Activity Book is published by Drawn and Quartely.
