I love going to the zoo and with my family, I am enjoying having an annual membership. With a large family like mine, the annual pass is becoming the best choice nearly everywhere we go.
When we visited the zoo earlier this year our tickets would have been $13.50 for the adults and $10.50 for children. The total would have been $67. We knew we would be back at least once, so we bought the annual membership for $99. After two more trips since, we have already paid for it and we will probably be a little more frequent. Sometimes, I am able to get a Military discount on annual passes, which is another good deal. At the World War I Museum, the Family Annual Membership was $65. We would have paid $43, but I went with my niece, which would have been an additional $15. Now, I have a membership to which I will visit at least once with the family and, hopefully, once again by myself. There are many opportunities just like this when I see admission prices.
I am getting into the habit of looking at the membership prices. I like the feeling of belonging to the “club” of pass holders and members. I also like thinking that I am supporting a good cause in some way. I have had a membership to the zoo in several different places, SC, Texas, Kentucky, and Missouri. They have always been a good return on investment. So I encourage you—if there is a place that you are visiting that you may think you may want to visit again, check into the membership option, it may turn out to be the best deal.
