The Bible reminds each of us where our help comes. In Psalm 94:22, the Bible says;
“But the LORD has become my stronghold, and my God the rock of my refuge.” (Psalm 94:22, ESV)
There are many times through our lives that we need a stronghold. There are also times that we need a place to seek refuge. The Psalmist tells us where his stronghold is. The Psalmist also tells us where our refuge is. The Lord is both the stronghold and the refuge. He is the place of safety. We can find protection in him.
We live in a challenging world. In many ways, our lives are changing with the times. There may come a time when the struggles become too heavy to bear. There may be a time when it seems like the entire world is beginning to unravel. It could be the loss of a loved one, a devastating diagnosis, or a job loss. The struggle could be a relationship challenge or a parenting challenge. These are times when we can cling to the stronghold and seek refuge in the rock.
You can seek refuge in the rock of the Lord by first committing your life to him. All of us are sinners and need to be rescue from that sin. The punishment for sin is death and hell. Jesus, however, paid for our death as he died on a cross so that we may be saved. To receive this salvation, we commit our lives to him.
Have you committed your life to him? He can be your salvation if you trust in him.
