I have a knot on my shoulder…again.
Before we came out here–I had several different boosters of the shot. And my name came up on the list again this week.
I went in and asked for one of our unit medics to give it to me–at least they know I’m a man of God. They don’t want to make Him mad do they!
I turned my head and she began to prep it–I thought to myself–“gee, that was easy.” But, she was just wiping it down.
Then she stuck me. She did a good job–but it burned going in.
I left with a sore arm but there are ways to deal with the pain.
One way to help the shot feel better is to flop it around to get the blood moving–this the one I chose. I’m not sure it helped, but I did loose some cool points.
Another way, is the one I recommended to the Specialist that got his before me–“go and do some push-ups that always helps.” He probably believed me, because Chaplain’s don’t lie.
What other ways, do you know of that make taking shots easier?
