On Saturday, the sun was bright and the temperature was warm. After spending all week inside, I wanted to get out and enjoy some sunlight while I could. I walked down along our morning run route that we use three days a week. I walked about a half mile to a little coffee shop on a corner that we so often pass in those early mornings.
I went in the shop and the workers were busy cleaning the dishes. This was good sign because it showed that they had been busy throughout the day and the workers were not simply standing around. There was also a couple of customers, including a family, on the porch.
Due to the menu written in Hangul, I requested a “Café Mocha” because I have found that this is understood by Koreans, where “Regular Coffee” or “Dip Coffee” is not as widely understood. After I ordered, I sat down to wait. There was a slow trickle of people coming in and out of the little shop. After I Picked up my drink, I sat down to read in a nice spot by the window. The coffee was enjoyable with a balance taste of chocolate and coffee, along with a not over powering layer of whipped cream. I enjoyed my coffee while I read a couple of chapters in my book.
The little shop began to fill up, so I decided to move along. I never felt rushed, it was just getting to be a busier place than I expected. I look forward to returning when I have the chance. I ran by early Sunday morning before the store had opened. The store held a different meaning to me, because now I knew that it really was as nice as I had imagined.
