The morning started slow and cold.
I told Monica; “The right thing to do would be to go out and run…but it sure is cold.” She said; “Remember the El Paso Half Marathon. (on February 24, 2013—9 weeks away).” So I got up and ran two miles—really, it is all I needed to run to keep on track.
When I walked back in the door about 20 minutes later, Mary Catherine yelled from the other room: “That was fast…that was really really fast.” I considered going back out for another 2 miles—just to pick my ego off the floor. But, it was cold.
We spent the day watching a lot of TV—something we ever do. By the end of the day, the kids were completely bored with the whole; “Let’s watch TV all day!” idea.
After lunch, I took Will out to Target for some Baseball cards for me and Star Wars cards for him. I got a 100 card blister pack ($3.99) with several good cards inside. A Dwight Gooden and a Ken Griffey Jr. cards were among the good ones. Will got a strongly desired Yoda card that we had been talking earlier in the day about. It was fun to see his excitement in claiming this prize and putting it into his collection.
We returned home to find Jenny crashed out on the couch—she fell asleep during “Good Luck Charley”.
One more day of packing tomorrow and loading next week.
