This morning, we began packing for our move to Texas. Our long days paid off as the packers complemented us on our preparation for the move and everything was checked of my check list. The only thing we missed was that we forgot to buy bottled water for the packers—something that we put on the list for next time.
Most of my day was spend with the kids upstairs as we played Little People and Kitchen—while Monica spent time working on her projects while sitting about five feet away from the packers; superior nonintrusive supervision if you ask me.
For lunch we bought KFC—not McDonald’s—I won’t make that mistake again, for I felt it later. The kids ate in the playroom on their table, typically used for tea parties and coloring. They enjoyed spending time talking and joking—so much so that one took entirely too long to eat.
After lunch was the kids quiet time where I was able to read two comic books and take a small nap—which is a typical response to my getting very comfortable while reading my comics.
The rest of the afternoon was an entertaining mix of cleaning up the yard, giving baths, and watching some evening TV before the kids went to bed.
Tomorrow moves to day two—packing the upstairs.
