I received a flyer from the US Postal Service, as you maybe did also. Looking through Post Office promotional always get me excited about sending letters to other around the world. I encourage you to open this little flyer for the information contained in it.
Inside you will the new holiday season stamps. I really like the Santa one, as well as the “Madonna and Child” stamps as well. I chose, however, to order the stamps titled “Christmas Carols” for this year’s Christmas Cards. I was able to find and order these through my USPS App on my iPhone.
In the flyer yesterday, the USPS included instructions on how to ship a package from home, including how to order free Priority Mail boxes. You can also find this information on the USPS.com website.
My favorite part of this mailer was the section on the new tracking system available through the USPS. This section describes where to download an app to track your inbound mail. It is also linked with an email digest that can be sent each day through your email.
I received my first email today, and I had 7 pieces of mail when the mail was delivered. The only piece of mail that was not recorded was a newsmagazine. The postman said that he has noticed that the magazines still have their struggles making it into the app—something about the process, which I understand—it is all new and there are going to be growing pains. I was amazed however, to see that all of my letter mail and even the American Girl Catalog made it into the email sent to me about an hour before its arrival. We are also waiting on the package that is making its way to us—it was scanned at its origin, therefore hitting our digest email—we can track it all the way and look forward to receiving the package.
The last page of the mailer is a reminder of the deadlines to have your package delivered before December 25, 2018.
December 20, 2018 for First Class and Priority Mail Service
December 22, 2018 for Priority Mail Express Service.
(See the USPS for more details and restrictions on this information)
So, when you receive this little booklet, do throw it away before taking a look at what it has to offer!
