This may not seem to be that big of a deal for many people…but for me—Clergy Parking is a wonderful thing!
I visit hospitals frequently—many times to see a patient and then travel to the next hospital to see another one. Often, especially during the week day—when I am working, the parking lots are full. This the time when those “Clergy Parking Only” signs are truly a blessing. I can find a spot and get to see the patient then return to my car out with out spending a long time looking for a space or walking from a distant one.
We all hate looking for parking places—and I understand that—but to have to look for a space every day gets old. It also chews up time when I have to visit three hospitals. There are times when all of the clergy spots are full—and that’s OK—I’m glad some other pastor was able to use it and I’ll get it the next time. The fact that there are spaces tells me that the hospitals understand what I do and takes it seriously.
Thank you hospitals for those Clergy Parking spots!
