There is so much need in the world.
Just this afternoon, I received a request to assist the Salvation Army and Feed the Children distribute food to 400 families in the Petersburg,VA area.
I serve Soldiers everyday-which is my calling and my highest ministry priority. But, there are also needs out there in the area of Disaster Relief. I have a passion for helping people effected by disasters. I have for a long time. I believe that the work done by the American Red Cross, Samaritan’s Purse, and the Southern Baptist Disaster Relief is vital to helping hurting people following a disaster.
But, for you, the passion could be for the homeless or the hungry. I’ve been touched by the helping people through the March of Dimes and the USO. There are so many places for you to join and help out your community—but you have to do it.
I challenge you to pick something that you are passionate about—I believe God leads us to these things—and get involved. Together, in our own ministries—we can make a dynamic impact on the hurting.
