I was hungry after spending the day out and about, but I could not find any where I wanted to eat. There were plenty of places to eat in downtown Uijeongbu—just not somewhere that I wanted to eat at on that night. I was craving a steak and baked potato. But, I finally settled on fried rice. I just needed to eat.
While I walked back, I passed several restaurants that sold similar Korea food—but I wasn’t feel adventurous. I just wanted food. Food without fear was kinda my thought process that night. I walked several blocks on my way home thinking that if I don’t find something, I can find something in my kitchen. I happened to see a little restaurant as I passed that look like Chinese food. I went in and was greeted very politely and given a menu. Again, “Food without fear”, I simply wanted to eat. I understood the different types of food on the menu but settled on fried rice.
The rice was topped off with crabmeat with a side of black bean sauce. The rice also came with a very hot soup that included a couple of full oysters. Both were very delicious and filling. It was a nice visit to a wonderfully authentic local restaurant. I enjoyed seeing a couple of families come and go while I was there. This little restaurant became busy, so I knew that I wasn’t the only one who enjoyed this little place.
