I’m a list maker. I am constantly adding to my list and, hopefully, I am getting things done because they are on my list. Recently, however, I’ve become overwhelmed by the number of tasks accumulating on my task list and disappointed by what has not come off my list. I switched from “Todoist” software to Microsoft “To Do” software. So, I’m trying something new that might work.
I have written down six tasks that where on my list that I should be doing every day. These are Bible Reading, Fitness, Reading a Scholarly Article, Writing a Blog Post, Reading Comic Books, and Reading. I will put on a separate card and try to get these done every day in addition to the other tasks assigned. I am calling this list my “Daily Commitments”. Do I expect that I will get them done every day? Yes. Do I expect to miss a couple of days? Again, yes. The idea is simple. I want to relieve some of the stress off my calendar of some of the things that are either near a habit or that I want to be habits to meet my goals.
This is one of those things that I will have to see if it works! Thank you for reading!
