Traveling to Albuquerque, NM over the weekend gave me the opportunity to visit a unique McDonald’s. The McDonald’s at 5324 4th Street Northwest, Albuquerque, is designed based on a concept similar to the pre-1967 architecture. This beautiful restaurant is designed with a spacious interior and houses it’s own Playland inside.
The serving area and drink station in this McDonald’s is meticulously clean and bright. The counter is similar to most of the new renovations seen around the country but is highlighted by the McDonald’s colors in neon.
The refreshing part of the restaurant is the “desert counter” where they serve from the counter and have fresh scoop ice cream available.
I enjoyed the fast and courteous service. While it doesn’t seem this way in the pictures, the restaurant was actually very busy. Many of the visitors were going through the drive thru, while other were quickly ordering from the counter. The group behind me, however, were taking their time spending their day at McDonald’s.
