This past week, I have spent the days either clearing or getting ready to leave.
One of my stops, on Monday, brought me to the Division Headquarters. I had to smile at the sign someone put at the door. Signs are funny to me, especially hand written one, because they typically are the result of some emotion. This one is a result of a tree outside the backdoor that drops black seeds all over the sidewalk, which are then tracked in. And, some poor Soldier probably had to clean the residue up.
When we clear, we have to go to the different offices to make sure we don’t have any issues pending. Some of these places, I have never gone before. The motor pool is one of them. As a staff officer, the year, I haven’t had any need to go to the motor pool and, frankly., didn’t even know where it was–Tuesday, I made it there!
Wednesday, I was able to work on some comic books after a long day. I am doing well keeping up with the stories, but over the next couple of weeks, I may get behind again.
I went for a walk on Thursday night when I ran into my KATUSA friends returning to their barracks after their Bible Study.
This afternoon, we had an Apache helicopter visit. My first Battalion that I was Chaplain for so the Apache helicopter holds a place in my heart. It was good to finish the week off with seeing it.
